After having a lovely anniversary spa day

with Ryan yesterday at Cameron House

I now have  a miserable cold 🙁


I’m trying not to spread it to anyone else

at the Studio today so keeping out the way


Did you know you are more likely to pick up

colds, bugs, infections etc when you are

working out?

Your immune system drops for a few hours

you breathe the same air and sweat gets

on anything you touch…


Anyway, I promised you some meat recipes

and without further ado


Roast Duck Breast and Root Vegetables with Rosemary

I made this last week and it was amazing (makes 2)

2 duck breasts

large sweet potato

4 carrots

2 parsnips

olive oil

fresh rosemary


Chop the sweet potato into chunks

and the carrot and parsnip into sticks

place the duck in a roasting tray

with the veg scattered all around

drizzle with olive oil and lay the rosemary

over all the food.  Cook for 20-25 mins


Turkey Curry

I buy extra turkeys at this time of year

cook on a sunday for a roast then use the

left overs (makes 2)

2 handfuls of turkey meat

olive oil

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 medium onion

2 cloves garlic

400g can coconut milk

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp ground coriander

1 tsp cayenne pepper

pinch of cumin

pinch of turmeric



Stir the spices with a little water to form a paste

and apply to the turkey for 1 hour

gently fry the mustard seeds, onion and garlic

for a few minutes then add the turkey and heat through

for 5-10 minutes, add the coconut milk and cook for

a further 5-10 minutes until sauce has thickened

serve with brown rice


Fillet Steak with Vegetable Stir Fry

Quick and easy to make, we usually eat steak on a Friday

when I’m too tired to cook (makes 2)

2 Fillet Steaks

any or all of the following veg:

bak choy

yellow, red and green pepper


onion, red onion, spring onion





Chop all the veg into similar size pieces

heat a little oil in a wok and fry the chillies and garlic

heat a frying pan and fry the steak (seasoned)

once you turn the steak add the rest of the veg to the wok

adding 100ml of veg stock if you want more of a broth

arrange the veg on two plates and top with the steak
